Peter Parker, you called it!

This is so weird!

I just got back from my date with Colin, which I’ll get to in a minute, checked my blog and found that a certain Peter Parker left a comment on my post yesterday saying that he thought Dennis might try to ruin my date tonight…WHICH TOTALLY HAPPENED!

Talk about Spidey Senses…nice call, man!

Colin and I had sat down at the restaurant for about 10 minutes, when Dennis comes in with a date (which I found out later is just a friend of his) and walks right by our table “by accident”. Of course, Colin, being a gentleman, invites Dennis and his faux date to join us! He, of course, spends most of the dinner talking about himself, AND SUBTLY PUTTING DOWN COLIN (which was gross), and then finally when the meal was over and I felt that me and Colin could safely escape…he invites himself along with us to get dessert!

The only way I could have gotten rid of him would’ve seemed too rude and confrontational I think…so instead I just called it a night and went home with no dessert. I feel like Colin could have taken Dennis aside to ask him for a little privacy, but he didn’t. So maybe he doesn’t want it as much as I do. :(

The ball is officially in his court. I feel as though I’ve done the best I can in making the moves, planning the date, and nicely explaining to Dennis that I’m not interested in him. I mean, if Colin cared enough – couldn’t he meet me halfway here?

  1. Argh! Turning green …

    Hulk smash puny Dennis!

    SPLAT!

Hulk turn Dennis into useless red goo. Hulk like red goo. Hulk calm down. Hulk sleep now … Huh? I’m Banner again! I’m still glad to see Dennis mashed into stinky jelly however.

    What an idiot.

As for Colin, please give him one more chance. You have no particular reason to like Dennis but even you found it hard to confront him. Imagine how Colin felt — a good friend of his showed up and acted like a knob.Yes, Colin could’ve pulled Dennis aside, but maybe he was weirded out because he’d never seen that side of Dennis.

I’d give Colin a call and talk about what happened. Ask him why he didn’t move Dennis along. Ask him if there’s a way to have a 100% Dennis free evening. Make it clear you’re not trying to drive a wedge between two bros. You just happen to have a little old crush on Colin and there’s a lot of fun to be had if your attention isn’t divided between Colin and your irritation with Dennis.

If Colin rocks, the only thing he’ll say his yes. Otherwise, lay a gamma-powered stomping on his ass and be rid of the Dennis/Colin mess once and for all.

    • Good advice! Hopefully, I won’t have to use it because I haven’t heard from Dennis since I saw him last time, and luckily he didn’t show up on mine and Colin’s movie date. But Colin just asked me out again for tomorrow, hopefully they’ll be no Dennis intrusions and maybe I can finally steal a kiss from Colin!
