Remember my little situation with Dennis?
Right, well for the past 3 days I haven’t been able to get in touch with him to figure out what’s going on! His phone just kept going to voicemail…a little irking.
Anyways, he actually DID call me back today saying he was out of town for a few days for a “big part in a small film” and didn’t have his phone with him. So THAT mystery is settled, but the problem remains…
Dennis was pretty prompt in asking me come out on another date with him for drinks tonight before going back to his place and watching another film he was in a couple of years ago. Typical Dennis, but…no?
I didn’t know how to nicely get around to telling him how I felt so…I just said it. We’re not a couple! We were never a couple! I don’t even know how this thing got blown WAY out of proportion!
He kind of laughed it off at first like he thought I was joking, but…I’m really not. I didn’t want to be rude but it was kind of a big leap on his part. One date and a party do not make a couple…

Well, now you have two questions to deal with:
1. How sure are you that Dennis got the message that you’re not interested in a steady relationship with him?
2. Are you prepared to sacrifice a possible relationship with Colin in order to make sure that Dennis got the message?
I’m ready to do what it takes to make sure that Dennis gets the message, and I’d understand if Colin feels uncomfortable about hurting his friend’s feelings. I’ll just have to handle the matter as delicately as possible.
