Tim surprised me at work today!
He showed up after my shift with flowers and everything, a pretty big deal considering Tim was not so long ago a Birk employee himself, and things didn’t end on the most positive note… I think it’s pretty darn cool that Tim can brush off any animosity he may have towards the company for me. :)
Tim came by because he wanted me to know that just because he got a little weirded out by some of the less than kosher comments left on my Youtube videos he still really admires what I do. Specifically, Tim told me he “admires my convictions” and thinks I have a lot of passion!
Then, Tim told me he wished he had a passion like I do…and he sounded just a little sad while he said it.
I wasn’t sure what to say. I told Tim that he seems passionate about a lot of things and maybe he’s just at a turning point in his life…and that things will start picking up again as long as he keeps trying to figure out what works best for him?
That seemed to appease him, for the time being…but I have the feeling I just caught a glimpse of a big giant whole new can of worms.
