…just something that came to mind after I got a text from Guy today. I’m pretty much trying to avoid any confrontation with Guy about Marge, since Guy told me not the meddle in his affairs. I’m also afraid that if Guy starts talking about Marge around me I’ll BURST, and what I know about Marge hooking up with Tristan at the bar will just spew out of me…like word vomit!
So what happened?
Guy invited Marge to the Captain America premiere with us tonight!!! Arrrrghhh….
And of course, I have to go…I mean, it’s Captain America! And Guy and I have already planned to review it together!!
Not to mention, if as Guy’s best best bud I’m the indestructible shield to his Captain America, then I need to be by his side whenever I can to protect him from getting hurt.
…even if shields can’t talk…can’t talk about Marge being on the prowl for a replacement to Guy…
This is gonna be TOUGH.
Is this actually meddling? Tristian texted you about Marge on his own whim. You now know something awful, through no fault of your own. Could you talk this out with with a patented Valerie Lapomme monologue of honesty?
“I promised not to meddle because I really care about you. But my friend Tristian sent me a text I think you should hear about. You can be sure I wasn’t snooping around; he sent it out of the blue. I think you might get hurt by the news if I stay quiet. I’d have felt like a cow if I bit my tongue and didn’t let you decide what I should do next. Do you want me to talk or shut up? It’s your call. Cap throws the shield, not the other way around, right?”
I’m considering this…we’ll see how things go tonight. I’m hoping that Marge will just tell him herself. I’m really trying to give her the benefit of the doubt on this one. I mean, she did love Guy once – why would she want to hurt him? If things get more serious with Tristan, she’ll have to break the news to Guy right? I’m hoping she does the right thing.
Maybe tonight at Cap’n America I’ll find out. If she doesn’t tell him herself, I might have to bust a Cap off in her…get it?? Ha.
Just read Sebastian’s comment…if I were Guy, as I said on a different thread, I’d want to know, and Sebastian’s suggestion seems PERFECT.
I know…that’s what I wanted to do SO BAD! But I held out and now…Marge did it for me! I feel SO RELIEVED, it’s nuts.
